Every week Express Wildlife Rescue releases or re-homes abandoned, sick or injured animals that we have nursed back to health. Below are just some of the thousands of stories we have to tell. And keep coming back as we update these every week with our latest fur, feather & scale babies to have found new homes.
Radar
Radar our gorgeous orphaned male joey has recently left Express Wildlife Rescue, as part of a phased release program. He was a great friend and playmate for Skylar, our Red roo below who has also recently left Express Wildlife Rescue on a phased release program.
Radar is a very cheeky and lovable boy, always wanting to be picked up for hugs. In the months leading up to his release we were teaching him how to protect himself against larger males he will encounter in the wild. We were teaching him to kick and box through play, and although he was getting good, he still ran away when we boxed him back! Miss you Radar, hope you come for a visit soon.

Skylar
Skylar was our very special Red Kangaroo, who was sadly involved in a motor vehicle accident when she was a joey. She sustained severe spinal injuries, and as such cannot be fully released back into the wild, as she just wouldn't survive.
She has recently left Express Wildlife Rescue for what we hope will be her forever home. She has made new friends in a more semi-wild location and even has a boyfriend! A very gentle and beautiful roo, we miss her every day but know she's having a fantastic time.
